dropcloth pillow



100% cotton canvas pillow with polyester filling. Center black and yellow fabric created using reactive resist method. Pink border was Low Water Immersion. Main fabric was from a dropcloth deliberately stamped. Solid black back. Center buttons front and back. 14" x 14"

Second Tamarack order




Traditional pieced tumbling blocks pattern. Crackle was achieved with potato dextrin. Orange and yellow applied with sponge brushes. Black fabric had dye rolled on. 100% cotton canvas with polyester batting. 15 1/2" x 23 1/2"



















Table runner or wall hanging. MX dye sprayed over sumac. Darker leaves had dye rolled on then they were used as a stamp.
Darker leaves are Sweet and Sour vine and May Apple. Machine cording outlines leaves. No batting. 14 1/2" x 45"

My Psyche

It's stuffed! Hand-dyed fabrics with hand embroidery. The center of the hand sports my old girl scout badge with a girl on a flying carpet! The head has a crazy eye and a spider with her web in the brain area! This was lots of fun to do!

First Order to Tamarack






55%linen, 45%cotton. All fabrics were immersion dyed. The turquoise lines are machine cording!















Cotton canvas. Colored corn dextrin resist. The turquoise was in the dextrin and after it dried, I sprayed fuschia over top! The white lines are machine cording.

Woven Low Water Immersion strips!












This was very simple fabric to dye! First, a spray of orange. Next, layer the sumac leaves on and spray around them with fuschia. Last, roll fig leaves with brown and use them like a stamp!
